How to package a consignment correctly

The package should be labelled with the address of the receiver in large and clearly legible letters, while the sender’s address can be placed in upper left corner, in smaller font and by gently underlining it.

Please wrap the package in stretch-film and adhesive tape in order to provide additional protection for the consignment

When sending a bicycle, please remember to set the handlebar parallel to the frame, to lower the saddle and to secure moving parts in order to enable the contractor to ensure safe road transport (the prepared bicycle should then be packed in cardboard, wrapped in foil, reinforced with adhesive tape and carry the legible address of the receiver). If the original packaging of the bicycle is available, it should be used for transporting the bicycle.

Tyres / rims should be sent individually, packed entirely in cardboard, wrapped in stretch-film and adhesive tape and provided with the legible address of the receiver.

We would like to remind you that it is not possible to combine / glue together several cardboard boxes and send them as a single standard package (every package is handled individually, we do not add up kilograms).

A suitcase or travel bag should be carefully wrapped in foil, additionally secured with adhesive tape and labelled with the receiver’s address. The driver can refuse to accept suitcases or bags if they are not properly secured.

Cardboard

Cardboard is the preferred packaging for every consignment. It should be sufficiently tough and durable and should not carry any additional markings except the driver’s sticker and the receiver’s address placed by the sender (any other markings could result in package sorting errors of automatic scanners in depots).

Contents

If the contents comprise different items, please pack them safely and make sure they will not suffer any mechanical damage.

We would like to remind you that there should be no empty spaces in the package – please fill unused space with polystyrene foam, cloth, bubble foil, etc.

Packed elements should be distributed so that they do not touch the sides of the package or each other. They should not be able to move inside the package.

Naturally, these instructions do not apply for devices originally packed by the manufacturer (laptops, TVs, household appliances, audio/video devices, etc.) – please do not interfere with their packaging in any way.

Because glass/porcelain/ceramics are not covered by the insurance, they can only be sent with the confirmation that the client is solely responsible for the transport.

Obligation of the sender

The sender, who dispatches the package and prepares it for transport, is responsible for its proper preparation for road transport, its legible description, and the compliance of the declared dimensions with the actual dimensions.

The sender also guarantees that the consignment does not contain any items excluded from transport, i.e. tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, liquids and other substances not permitted in the countries on the transport route.

The Sender assumes full liability for all consequences resulting from the transport of such products or goods.
